Special holiday message - Fathers day:
Fathers day is a day to show your father that he is very much appreciated by honoring him. It's a day of celebration, as well as celebrating a Fathers role in parenthood, the bonds that a father shares with his offspring & the influence of Fathers in the world today as a whole.
I understand that many people don't have fathers because some may have passed away or their father was never available for them, or were never in their lives. Believe it or not, It happened that way for a lot of people, but even with these circumstances, you are taking the day to appreciate that you are fortunate enough. Why? Because there's a GOD who is bigger & above all. No matter who's alive or dead in your family, there IS a God who loves you unconditionally during your roughest times & he never fails at what he does to uplift your spirits.
To those who still have both of their parents -- I would just like to add in that your father is also not going to be around forever & chances are, you're going to miss him when the time comes, so give thanks & honor to him while he's still alive. Why? Because your father is a part of who you are, so as you honor him, you honor yourself. As you respect your father, you respect yourself. In my opinion, those who disrespect, hate or not honor their parents, never seem to do well in life even if their parents deserved to be hated.
Dad, thank you for always being there for me, for standing by side even when I didn't listen to you & for always watching my back from danger or anything unknown. Thank you for listening to me & taking care of me when I was down & upset. Thank you for correcting me whenever you felt I was going on the wrong path to life. Thank you for putting a roof over my head, food on the table & a blanket over me. Most importantly, thank you for giving me your unending support & loving me the way you do, because nobody could love me like that!
Happy Father's day! :)
