Special holiday message - Fathers day:
Father’s Day is a day of celebration, marking & giving honor to fathers, celebrating a father’s important position in parenthood, as well as the bonds a father shares with the ones he loves & has created in this world, & the influence of great father’s who take great care of their kids in this world, including the Fathers who have chosen to take on other children as their own. I salute you.
With that being said, a real Father to me is one who not only creates me in this world, but a Father who is there for me when I was first born at the hospital. A real Father is the first person I get to see when I am born & created into this world. A real Father is one who I first called "Daddy." A real Father is one who see's me walk my first steps while I'm still young. A real Father is one who doesn't know much of what is being said because I'm still learning how to talk, but continues to listen to my gossip anyway. A real Father is one who gets to see me grow in my education starting from elementary school, to high school. A real Father is one who I can turn to in need of a gentle warm hand / hug when I need it the most. A real Father is one who gives me discipline when I know I've done wrong. A real Father is one who loves me no matter what I do, & will cherish every last moment we have together. A real Father to me is one who holds me when I cry, scolds me when I break the rules, shines my pride when I succeed in something & has faith in me in anything I do, even when I fall down & fail at something. A real Father is one who can guide, encourage, influence & inspire me in many ways then one. A real Father is one who has morals & standards for himself. A real Father is one who has ultimately helped raise me to be the fine young gentlemen I am today with strong morals & standards that are similar to his.
I am proud to call that person my one & only, Dad. You truly are my inspiration, support, strength & faith. Thanks for every single ounce of your unconditional love & kindness throughout my childhood years. Words cannot describe how thankful & grateful I am for all that you do. However, I do want you to know that I love you just as much as you love me, unconditionally. No matter what I may be doing with my life at this very moment, or where I may be in this world as we speak, you will always be my Dad & you will always hold a very strong, close & special place in my heart for as long as I live.
Happy Fathers Day to those who take care of their kids, & for the young teenagers, Men & Woman who don't have a physical father, you still have God.
